
На северо-востоке Великобритании рано утром произошло землетрясение магнитудой до 3 баллов по шкале Рихтера. Землетрясение произошло на глубине 10 километров.
Сначала многие жители приняли толчки за взрыв. Кто-то решил, что упал астероид.
Один из жителей включил электрическую зубную щётку, в этот момент дом содрогнулся и залаяли собаки. Он не сразу сообразил, что зубная щётка тут ни при чём.
О жертвах и разрушениях не сообщается.
Самое крупное землетрясение магнитудой 6.1 балла произошло в Великобритании в 1931 году.

An earthquake hit the north-east of England this morning, causing fears of an explosion.
Police and firefighters received calls about an 'explosion' in Stockton-on-Tees at around 6am today after locals heard a 'bang', with some believing an asteroid had hit the area.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.0 with a depth of 10km.
Towns including Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool felt the earthquake, which measured 3.0 on the Richter scale, with one man saying it felt like a lorry had crashed into his house
Firefighters found no signs of damage and no one was injured.
A resident said:
"Then I started to see friends on Facebook experiencing the same thing.
"Then we began to realise it had been an earthquake."
Another added: "This morning at 5.57am I was woken up with my bed moving.
"I was quite startled that it woke me up."
One resident said they felt their bed shake.
Another claimed her husband slept through the tremor, although their dog was 'very alert' and 'didn't eat his breakfast'.
One resident tweeted:
Up at 05.45, in the bathroom at 05.55 when I turned my electric toothbrush on and felt the house shake & heard the dogs bark!
Turns out it wasn't a surge from the toothbrush, but a 2.8 magnitude earthquake.
The quake is understood to have happened at 5.57am.
Around 30 tremors are felt in the UK every year, although a few hundred smaller ones also take place.
The largest earthquake in Britain's history measured 6.1 on the Richter scale and struck around 60 miles off the east coast of England in 1931.
